Rabbi Ora Nitkin-Kaner (’16) Featured in Moving Video from Avodah Service Corps

Students come to the College from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. This video recounts a pre-rabbinical school experience of Rabbi Ora Nitkin-Kaner, who graduated in 2016.  Ten years ago, Rabbi Nitkin-Kaner met Calvin Duncan while serving for a year at the Innocence Project through the Avodah Service Cops. The relationship they built profoundly impacted their lives and the work they sought to do in their communities. Mr. Duncan is now a co-founder of The First 72+, a re-entry program for formerly incarcerated individuals in New Orleans, and Rabbi Nitkin-Kaner is now the rabbi at the Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Congregation.
